Chair Loewen called for the treasurer’s report.  Supervisors Wicker/Unterberger made a motion to approve treasurer’s report.  Motion carried.  Clerk Harff gave each supervisor a copy of a letter for Unallocated revenue that the township will not receive from the state in the total of $8,700.00 for 2009.  Harff asked if we need to reset the levy or just take it out of a fund.  The board suggested we take it out of a fund.

Old Business:  Chair Loewen asked the clerk to send a letter to Howard Bahn asking him to trim his lilac hedge and tree branches that block the sight onto 163rd Street.

No update on Powder Ridge Road, it is still not completed.

Carnelian Lake Road update-Wallace Bungert has asked that they continue the tarring past his house and he was willing to pay like the rest but Peter Albin, owning the last two lots, does not want his road retarred.  Wicker felt it important that re-measurement should be done with Mid MN present and the area marked before beginning the project.  It would make a difference in the quote received from Hardrives if they have to do a larger apron onto Carnelian Lake Road.  After reviewing the contract for Hardrives, a change to list the tarred curbing costs separate.  With that correction, Supervisors Loewen/Wicker made a motion to sign the contract.

Hommerding Cars – Chris Hommerding said that he has one car going tomorrow and one more gone.  Loewen asked about the van, Hommerding stated that is scrap iron.  Hommerding is getting tabs for each of the three vehicles remaining.  The board was satisfied he met the request of the board and thanked him.

Rohe/Tadych dispute - Clerk Harff read a letter from Tadych’s attorney, Mr Schiff.  The board asked if Hendricks Sand and Gravel would be willing to remove the posts that are in the right of way with the sheriff present.  Supervisor Loewen will send the pictures taken and letter to our attorney before anything is done.

City of Rockville road maintenance agreement was reviewed.  Supervisors Loewen/Wicker made a motion to accept the revised agreement.  Motion carried.  Clerk Harff will forward it onto the City of Rockville for their approval.

City of Kimball road agreement will be tabled.  Clerk asked for permission to get a computer copy from them to install into the township computer.  The board approved.

Swing mailbox posts – Wicker asked if he should get the guide posts also.  Board authorized him to proceed to pick up the posts.

Thistle problems – Kevin Donnay’s pastures and fields (in the hands of the county) and Jason and Jill Beck in their horse pasture.  Loewen will contact.

District 5 meeting - August 19th up by Glenwood and Starbuck.  No one will be attending.

Trim Trees – Unterberger has seen work done by Jeramy Kaskinen and suggested we give them a chance to trim some trees in the township at $95.00 an hour.  Trees need trimming on 133rd on the Luxemburg line road, School Section Lake Rd coming off of 145th  St, and Carnelian Lake Rd by 78th Ave.  Supervisors Loewen/Wicker made a motion to have Kaskinen’s do one of the roads listed above.  Motion carried.  Clerk Harff explained she would need a certificate of insurance before they start the work.

Supervisors Unterberger/Wicker made a motion to approve the permits submitted by Planning and Zoning.

Supervisors Unterberger/Loewen made a motion to approve the bills presented excluding Kingston township bill for putting in culverts on the line road.  Unterberger wants to check with Kingston to see why there was no quote presented to the township as requested and he also is going to request an itemized bill.   Motion carried.
