Maine Prairie Township
Comprehensive Growth Meeting
And Board Meeting
August 27th, 2009

Chair Loewen opened the meeting at 7:40 p.m. with a pledge to the flag.

Charles Marohn took over the meeting with setting goals for the township.  With the completion of the goal setting phase the next phase will be present the compiled information out to the residents by having a published meeting to have the residents come in for their input.  That meeting will be set for Thursday, September 24th 7:00 p.m.  It will be called the “Brain Storming” session.

With the conclusion, Supervisors Loewen/Unterberger made a motion to close the Comprehensive Growth Mtg at 9:45 p.m. and Reconvene the Board Mtg.

City of Kimball/Township Road Maintenance Agreement:  Wicker asked if it could wait for the regular board meeting in two weeks.  After reviewing the agreement, Loewen/Unterberger made a motion to approve the agreement.  Motion carried.

163rd Street:  Hardrives didn’t mill the full layer so Hendricks pushed the un-milled off to the side so he could excavate the remaining material onto the apron entrance to Carnelian Lake Rd.  It was suggested to put up silt fence on the South side.  Wicker suggested we get Environmental Services involved to make sure all procedures were done properly and protect the township from any unnecessary fees.  Question was whether it was lowered enough.  Loewen/Wicker made a motion to have it lowered more.  It was stated that it was lowered a foot as required per contract, any more excavating would cost more.  Loewen amended his motion to state, contingent upon what the supervisor will find tomorrow morning on site.  Motion carried

Danzig Road:  Pictures and emails sent to Lawyer, Peter Thede, were reviewed.  Mr. Thede will be working with Charles Schiff, Tadych’s lawyer.  Deputy Clerk Adolph presented information concerning when the road was first tarred in 1988 by Hardrives and over-layed in 1990 by Bauerlys.

Supervisors Loewen/Wicker made a motion to adjourn at 10:20 p.m.  Motion carried.
