Comprehensive Growth Meeting
And Board Meeting
September 24th, 2009

Chair Loewen opened the meeting at 7:00 p.m. with a pledge to the flag.

Community Growth Institute sent mailings and press releases out to generate the community to be a part of the goal setting prior to the meeting.

With approximately 20 residents in attendance, Charles Marohn took over the meeting with brain storming on setting goals for the township.  The goal settings that came from the core committee were put on paper and placed around the room.  Three groups were formed and moved through each set of goal separate to discuss how these goals could be met.  Once the groups had gone through each goal, the residents were given markers to go around the room and mark which was most important to them individually.

The next meeting on October 22nd, will be a review of the compiled information.

With the conclusion, Supervisors Loewen/Unterberger made a motion to close the Comprehensive Growth Mtg at 8:30 p.m. and Reconvene the Board Mtg.

It was suggested that next year the township rent a machine that can reclaim the gravel out of the ditches.

Mailboxes on Carnelian Lake Rd are in place with 4 mailboxes on each post.  Question was will it impede snowplowing.

Bill was presented from MidMN for Powder Ridge Rd and Carnelian Lake Rd.  The bill was higher because of the issue on Powder Ridge Rd.  With no explanation of the bill for the increase and in accordance with the contract, Supervisors Loewen/Unterberger made a motion to pay 90% of the bid price with retaining 10% of the bid price until the CC134 papers come from the state and the inspection reports could be filled out.  The balance of the overage will not be paid until it is discussed at the October 13th meeting.  Motion carried.
