Old business called for: With none, new business was called for.

Glen Schindele, Lori Doering, Robin Salmala and Mark Schindele came before the board with a request for a hearing concerning vacating part of 179th St by Goodner Lake.  The family has been working with Stearns County Environmental, by vacating part of the road; they can put up a building and meet all the setback requirements and make the lots usable.  They presented signed petitions from the residents that live on the road up to the point where vacation would end.  It is a “dedicated to the public” road.  Supervisors Loewen/Unterberger made a motion to move forward on the hearing process.  Motion carried.

Tina Dietrich came before the board to review the sales in the township.  Tina explained that residential lots will see a decrease of 9% but Ag land and Green Acres will be increased.  Date of Board of Appeals will be May 5th at 4:00 p.m.  There was a concern that the date would run into farmers in the fields and they are the ones that might be coming forth.  Tina explained the she could not get all the paperwork done by March 15th which is the deadline.

Permitting was discussed.  Tina explained that improvement permits reflected on the market value of the property and also makes the township board aware of what is going on in the township.  The permit list was reviewed.  Corrections were: #2- Inspection permits needed on residential structures, and description of small utility shed is 100 sq ft or larger.  With windows added for inspection because it is state code that egress windows be installed on all bedroom windows, #4-Under $30.00 permits-remove sidewalks, driveways, and cementing and add concrete patios, paving bricks and storage shed less than 100 sq ft., and #5-wording change from requires to encourages a no charge permit and change tax evaluation to estimated market value.  Chuck asked that his phone number be corrected and the clerk was asked to put something in the permit list about contacting the county if land is within 1000 ft of high water mark.

Ron Albers is now going to inspect all windows because of state code requirements.  Supervisors Loewen/Unterberger made a motion to go forward with permit list with corrections.  Motion carried. Clerk will present the corrected list at the next meeting.

Permits were called for with none, Supervisors Wicker/Loewen made a motion to adjourn.  Motion carried.
