Planning and Zoning meeting opened at 7:00 p.m.
Motion by Zoning Administrator Froehling/Supervisor Kuechle to approve September 13, 2016 Planning and Zoning meeting minutes. All in favor, motion passed.
New Business:
Edward D.Stein – Variance Public Hearing:
The hearing opened with Clerk Hunt reading the legal notice published in the Tri-County News on September 29 notifying the residents of the hearing. There were no calls or letters received concerning this variance request. Edward Stein is requesting a variance to allow placement of a 14’ x 32’ shed with a setback of 45’ from the center of Carnelian Road rather than the 63’ setback from the center of Carnelian Road as set forth in Stearns County Ordinance No. 439. Chair Wicker called for comments from the floor. There were no public comments. Motion by Supervisor Loewen/Kuechle to close the public hearing at 7:07 p.m. All in favor, motion carried. Brief discussion held among the Board. Hearing reopened. Motion by Zoning Administrator Froehling/Supervisor Kuechle to grant the Stein variance request with no conditions. All in favor, motion carried.
John Loch – Final Plat Signature (Mylars): John and Lois Loch were present to request final plat signature (mylars) of Scenic Acres. Board approval was previously given to the Loch’s at the June 14, 2016 Board meeting granting approval to split 9.2 acres off their property in the A-80 zoning district.
Ron Fick – Revised Land Split: Ron Fick is requesting Board approval to re-approve his land split. Board approval was previously given to Mr. Fick at the January 12, 2016 Board meeting granting approval to split thirteen (13) acres off of his property. Mr. Fick was notified by the County that he needed twenty (20) acres for this split. Mr. Fick is now seeking approval from the Board to split 34.75 acres off his property located at 12210 Hwy 55 W. Motion by Chair Wicker to grant a Certificate of Compliance to Ron Fick to split 34.75 acres off his property. Seconded by Zoning Administrator Froehling. All in favor, motion carried. Chair Wicker moved to wave the fee for the Certificate of Compliance for this split. Seconded by Supervisor Loewen. All in favor, motion carried.
Zoning Administrator Froehling presented three (3) permits for approval as follows:

Nick Kemper | 30’ X 52’ Pole Shed w/10’ 6” Sidewall | $50.00 |
Ethan Petersen | 14’ X 16’ Deck | $50.00 |
There was one (1) County permit issued and reviewed:
- Dennis Libbesmeier - 30’ X 30’ Pole Shed
Motion by Supervisor Kuechle/Chair Wicker to approve permits as presented. All in favor, motion carried.
There being no further business, Motion by Supervisor Kuechle/Chair Wicker to adjourn Planning and Zoning at 7:28 p.m. and reconvene to Board meeting. All in favor, motion carried.
