Planning & Zoning Minutes
Maine Prairie Township
December 13, 2016
Planning and Zoning meeting opened at 7:00 p.m.
Motion by Zoning Administrator Froehling/Supervisor Kuechle to approve November 15, 2016 Planning and Zoning meeting minutes. All in favor, motion passed.
New Business:
John Loch – Land Split: John Loch was present to request Board approval of the subdivision of his property in the A80 Zoning District. Motion by Supervisor Kuechle/Zoning Administrator Froehling to authorize approval to grant a Certificate of Compliance to John Loch for this split. All in favor, motion carried.
Dan Stein – Certificate of Compliance: Dan Stein along with Atty. Tom Zipoy, and property owner James McGowan were present to request Board approval of the Administrative Subdivision of the property Stein is purchasing from the James T. Mcgowan Trust. McGowan is in the process of selling two (2) parcels to Stein, Parcel A is 2.7 acres and has no building entitlement and Parcel B is 21.4 acres, of which includes a 2.0 acre building entitlement. A survey and subdivision is needed in order to change the legal property description and obtain a building permit. Supervisor Loewen moved to grant a Certificate of Compliance to administer this subdivision to James T. McGowan and Dan Stein. Seconded by Supervisor Kuechle. All in favor, motion carried.
Permit Fees/Gravel Pit/Dog Kennel/ Permits: The Board discussed permit fees and permit renewals. Clerk Hunt will send out letters notifying all active gravel pits in Maine Prairie Township of an annual permit fee of $50.00. These renewal letters will be sent January 1, 2017. Clerk Hunt also to send out letters notifying all dog kennel owners of an annual permit, but because the one-time permit fee has previously been paid, no fee is required at this time.
Zoning Administrator Froehling presented two (2) permits for approval as follows:
Dennis Dillon | 26’ X 32’ Shed | $50.00 |
Erick Berscheid | 16’ X 100’ Addition on to Shed | $50.00 |
There were four (4) County permits issued and reviewed:
- Donald Webb - 10’ X 27’ Addition to Accessory Structure
- Tyler Serbus - 12’ X 12’ Woas
- David Meidl - 12’ X 16’ Porch
- David Meidl - 8’ X 10’ Deck
Clerk Hunt will send letters to property owners to collect permit fees who received County permits but have not obtained permits from the Township.
Motion by Supervisor Kuechle/Supervisor Loewen to approve permits as presented. All in favor, motion carried.
There being no further business, Motion by Supervisor Kuechle/Zoning Administrator Froehling to adjourn Planning and Zoning at 7:45 p.m. and reconvene to Board meeting. All in favor, motion carried.
